Want an easy recipe that you can throw together, forget about it and dazzle everyone’s taste buds? Then this recipe is the one for you! My Slow Cooker Orange Beef is tasty and simple.

I love quick and easy recipes. I like to cook, but it can get tiring always having to do it. Quick recipes are nice, however they can get repetitive. The thought of eating the same thing over and over makes me gag a little, so I need a variety of recipes on the monthly menu. With this dish you literally throw all the ingredients into the slow cooker, put the lid on it and walk away. When it’s time for dinner simply shred and plate it with whatever sides you want. My delicious orange beef recipe is great for busy moms and families on the go.
What you will need…

ingredIENTS:
- Beef Roast
- Bbq Sauce
- Orange Marmalade
- Soy Sauce
- Garlic Powder
- Salt
- Corn Starch
Step 1:

Place your beef roast into the slow cooker. I used a 3 lb wagyu roast I had on hand. Whatever roast or piece of beef you have will work.
Step 2:

Now add all the ingredients, except the corn starch, into the slow cooker with the beef. You will use the corn starch at a later step.
*Do not add any water!
After all the ingredients are with the beef, place the lid on top and turn cooker on high for 4-5 hours or low for 7-8 hours. Don’t worry if you go slightly over the time frame. Recipes like these are very forgiving and honestly I’ve never had one dry out.
Step 3:

Once the meat is cooked through and to your liking, scoop some of the juice out and put into a small bowl. I would spoon out about a 1/4 or 1/2 cup. You are reserving this juice to add the corn starch to.
Step 4:

After reserving some juice, it’s time to shred the beef. If you typically use a hand mixer to shred meat like I do, word to the wise, don’t do that this time! It will send juice flying across your kitchen. Use a fork or two and shred it up.
Step 5:

Measure 4 teaspoons of corn starch out, adding one at a time to the cooled beef juice that was set aside. Mix it together after every teaspoon to eliminate any clumps from forming. Once mixed, add the slurry back into the crock pot. Let this cook for an additional 10-15 minutes for it to thicken.
Step 6- Optional

You can add sesame seeds at this point if you would like. I added a palm full of sesame seeds to the orange beef.
Step 7… It’s time to eat!

Now you’ve made my yummy Slow Cooker Orange Beef for your family to enjoy! I hope you like it as much as we do.
**I put the orange beef on top of a bed of white instant rice and paired with a veggie. The rice soaks some of the juice up and adds nice texture to this beef.

This combination sounds delicious! I would like it over rice for sure!
Over rice is the way to go! It just gives it something extra.
This looks absolutely delicious! I have never added marmalade to recipes, but will surely give this a try! Thanks for the tip on the hand mixer as well:)!

I was just wondering if you can use a pot roast instead of a regular roast?
Hi. Yes you can use any roast or big piece of meat you have on hand. I switch out cuts of meat all the time.
Using this recipe right now! I’m using a chuck roast, almost 4lbs, so I increased the ingredients just a little. Can’t wait to try it when it’s done!!
I hope you enjoyed it!
