How this recipe came to be
I can not begin to tell you how much I love this guac. My mother has made this guacamole recipe ALL my life. From what I can recall, she got this recipe from when she was in her early 20s and working at restaurant in Houston, TX.
After she tried it, it became a staple recipe that she made at home time after time. Even though this was a recipe she learned from a restaurant, NO ONE knows this style of guacamole. Honestly, when I tell people what it consist of I get funny curled lip looks, until they take a scope full, then it all makes sense. It’s like that scene from Ratatouille when Remi is tasting all the flavor combos and they’re dancing around his little rat head. Ha!
I passed my love of this guac to my boys and now they are hooked and request it. My husband was never a fan of guacamole, since the main ingredient is avocado which he hates, but he now actually loves this recipe. I converted him!! I’m telling you this is the BEST creamy bacon guacamole EVER.
What you’ll need
- Avocado
- Mayo
- Bacon
- Picante or Salsa
- Lemon/Lime juice
- Tomatoes
- Onion

Let’s make some Creamy bacon Guac
Step 1:
Take your pound of bacon and cook it until it is crispy. Drain greasy from bacon, then set it to the side to cool. Once cool crumble or cut bacon into bite size pieces.
Step 2:
Cut the avocados in half to open and place the flesh in a large bowl. Discard the rind and pits.

*Avocado Tip – I personally cut an avocado in half and then squeeze the two slides together with the rind facing up and the flesh facing the bowl. Saves time getting the flesh out.

Step 3:
Now dice up the small onion and Roma tomatoes. Make sure your dice isn’t too large. You want chunky, but not huge chunks that will break your chip.

Step 4:
Measure out mayo, picante sauce and lime juice. Add everything, including the crumbled bacon, diced onion and tomatoes to the bowl with the avocados.

Step 5:
Now all you need to do is stir it to combined. There is no need to smash or break avocados up. They will become creamy with some chucks just by stirring and mixing with the other ingredients.
Voila! You are now done making this Creamy Bacon Guacamole.
You can add salt to taste if you choose too, however when you pair it with a salty tortilla chip, there is plenty to go around.
