Welcome y’all! My name is Kasandra, I’m a Texas country girl through and through, a wife and a mother. My husband is an amazing, hardworking man and together we have two boys that we homeschool.
I grew up all over Texas, trail riding and camping with my horses. My husband is a native Texan as well, who was raised around cows, chickens and goats. Together we share a love for the quaint country life.
In the beginning of 2020 we bought our first house and property. We don’t know the exact date on the house quite yet, but we do know the house is pre 1955 and was built with old lumber brought over from Mississippi by wagon. We have big plans for this house and a long journey of renovating to bring the old farmhouse charm back.
Over the years together we have had horses, a goat (more like a dog) and chickens, along with dogs and cats. We (I) plan on adding many more animals to this homestead we are trying to build.
By now you have insight into my passion for the country life, however I am also very passionate about doing things yourself and on a budget. I am a proud penny pincher! I’m always looking for a cheaper, yet nice, easy way to do things. I might get a small rush when I get a good deal on something and am able to save a little bit of money.
Here on Country Life Charm Blog you will see blog posts about making handmade, do-it-yourself projects for the home and homestead, how to bring old farmhouse charm back into a home, watch us grow our garden and how to feed your bellies with home cooked easy recipes ALL while being mindful of a budget. I hope you will enjoy following and learning along with us as we create this beautifully quaint homesteading life.
